Golf
Golf forms part of the landscape in Louth and in County Louth golf is a way of life. Louth has nine golf courses, all of different variety, from idyllic parkland setting to the world famous links at Baltray, outside Drogheda. Although some of these courses are as testing as any in Ireland, the main challenge is simply to keep your eye on the ball amid such splendid surroundings. There is also a number of inexpensive 'pay and play' courses in the Dundalk region, including Ballymascanlon, Killin Park and Carnbeg.
