Drogheda Arts Festival
Drogheda Arts Festival has established itself as a very special celebration of creativity and imagination, combining a programme of innovative arts events with a genuinely warm welcome, beside where the River Boyne meets the sea.
Now in its twelfth year, Drogheda Arts Festival brings an array of Irish and international artists to this historic and storied town. The dedicated arts venues are joined by some of the region's most important buildings in hosting exhibitions, concerts, readings and performances, making for memorable experiences. From the 12th century Millmount complex to the 1770-built Tholsel, and from Beaulieu House of 1666 to the baroque interior of St. Peter's church, audiences enjoy inspirational work in the most atmospheric of venues.
Drogheda Arts Festival programmes extensively for families with free street spectacle on the winding medieval streets of the town, special theatre performances for younger audiences, and a complete family day at Beaulieu House, where children undoubtedly rule the roost!
Late-night events, garden tours and architectural walks top off a very special week in County Louth.
